Also, earlier today I wrote about a nice project for 28 February. HERE.

Re-Elect Pope Benedict SWAG!!

You can also decorate your ride home (and other things) with bumperstickers and magnets.

In English and in Latin (click to see the variations).

And just for nice.  Many have gotten these.

I got one of my car mags the other day and they are really clear!

While I’m at it, until 8:00 Rome time on 28 February, may I suggest that you all pray, even several times a day…

?. Oremus pro pontifice nostro Benedicto.

Amen.

?. Let us pray for Benedict our pope.

?. The Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.

O God, Shepherd and Ruler of all Thy faithful people, look mercifully upon Thy servant Benedict, whom Thou hast chosen as shepherd to preside over Thy Church. Grant him, we beseech Thee, that by his word and example, he may edify those over whom he hath charge, so that together with the flock committed to him, may he attain everlasting life. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

When I click to see variations, I go to the CafePress site in another tab, and am greeted by a message telling me my session has expired. Perhaps the link contains your identity?

  2. wmeyer says:

Sorry, I did not look before posting. It happens, I think, because the URL is to the members’ portal.

  3. wmeyer: Thanks… I think I fixed those links.

  4. wmeyer says:

Glad to be of assistance, Father.

I still get the same problem as wmeyer.

The Knights of Columbus has initiated a prayer campaign for both Papa Benedict, the Church, and the new Pope:

    Prayer for the Church

O Lord Jesus Christ, Supreme Pastor of Your Church,
we thank you for the ministry of Pope Benedict XVI
and the selfless care with which he has led us
as Successor of Peter, and Your Vicar on earth.

Good Shepherd, who founded Your Church
on the rock of Peter’s faith
and have never left Your flock untended,
look with love upon us now,
and sustain Your Church in faith, hope, and charity.

Grant, Lord Jesus, in Your boundless love for us,
a new Pope for Your Church
who will please You by his holiness
and lead us faithfully to You,
who are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

    Amen.

I wish the 28th of Feb is years away. How I love the words ‘Oremus pro pontifice nostro Benedicto’. my heart is weeping with thanksgiving for the wonderful eight years of his glorious reign on the throne of St.Peter. my heart is weeping at the loss of our beloved Shepherd. He will definitely climb up the mountain like Moses and continue to intercede for us. Long live Pope Benedict.
    Long live the Pope!
    His praises sound
    Again and yet again:
His rule is over space and time:
His throne the heart of men:
All hail! The Shepherd Pope of Rome,
    The theme of loving song:
Let all the earth his glory sing
    And heav’n the strain prolong.
    [ Papal Anthem ]

@ southIndia…yes, a wonderful and uplifting prayer for our beloved Holy Father. After a bout of anxiety over this whole ordeal the other day, I prayed to be set free from it so I could focus on staying the course that all of us are currently going through.
    Long live Papa Benedicto!

I read this and found it consoling…so many wonderful stories from those who have personally met our beloved Papa…
