How beautiful. Could that be a painting of St Jude? and what is the story behind all those silver hearts?

  2. JEF5570 says:

They’re called ex voto’s and they are usually left as a thank offering for a favor/grace received.

    Gab,

Most likely, yes, St. Jude. The silver hearts appear to be ex voto offerings.

Thank you, cathgrl and JEF5570. What a lovely thing to do – have not heard of ex-votos before.
