T.S. Eliot – “Ash Wednesday”

Back in 2013, with a remnant of a cold, I read T. S. Eliot’s Ash Wednesday.

It’s interesting to go back to that post and see the comments.  For example, Supertradmum is no longer with us.  Say a prayer for the repose of her soul.  There are names of some commentators we haven’t see around for a while.

forty years since i first read it and it has stuck with me like few other poems. the best paper i wrote in undergrad was on it.

Yes, and where is The Masked Chicken? Perhaps for some, a decade of the Bergoglian Papacy as well as the Draconian Covidian Measures have been too hard to bear and they have retreated to obscurity. I pray that all have fortitude.

Your comment struck a chord with me, Father. I still pray that Semper Gumby is doing well, and wonder where he is. God bless you, Father, and may He keep all of us healthy.
