Good News for LI, it has been a musical wasteland for far too long…Proud to hear it is happenin in my neck of the woods. A worthy endeavor for sure. I pray it is full.
There’s the wonderful Carmel in Brooklyn out there though at 361 Highland Blvd. .. though not technically Long Island. I have a friend who recently entered there. They pray the Divine Office (Liturgia Horarum) all in Latin and use a lot of Gregorian chant. The monastery used to belong to the Lithuanian Franciscan Fathers .. and before that one of the buildings was a mansion. Beautiful community! God bless!
