This is an edifying resource. It’s good to learn about new and wholesome things. Thank you!
This was great, Father. Thank you!
you call to mind “Dominus dedit mihi linguam eruditam”. thank you for this post.
Livy’s narrative, while great, has been bested by a modern: a fellow called Andrew Olimpi published a Latin novella by the title of “Aulus Anser,” telling the saga of the brave goose “Aulus” in elementary Latin.
5/5 bread crumbs. The book is very amusing, even if you’re a veteran of the lingua Romana. (It has pictures) It’s available quite cheaply on Amazon.
I can’t describe how delighted I was with all of the etymology at the beginning, let alone the rest. Is it only available on SoundCloud, or can it be found wherever other fine podcasts are sold? It appears that the Fr. Z feed on my preferred app (Pocket Casts) hasn’t been updated in some time.
