   Last December, the rector of the cathedral in Mexico City announced the of the old Latin Mass at that church. Does anybody know the times? Please e-mail me at oneel@sbcglobal.net. I’m going on pilgrimage there and would love to see this form of the rite at that beautiful “catedral.”

   He has a devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows, the Mexican Martyrs especially Blessed Miguel Pro & St. Toribio. Pray for him! So it’s great he is in Mexico!

   As additional information the pictures were taken at the 1st Sunday mass (27/July) that Father Romanoski (a.k.a. Romo) celebrated in Guadalajara and it was a Misa Cantata with the help of Abbe Garrick Huang who is a seminarian (and I believe master cantor) at the FSSP seminary in Nebraska. We are truly blessed to have had Abbe Huang during this beginning of the FSSP apostolate in our country and we hope to welcome him next summer.

    God bless Fr. Romanowski! He celebrated the TLM at our parish several times before heading to Mexico. He has a very tender heart for our Lord. Hope to see him soon and this church is very blessed to have him!

    The church is the Parroquia de San Isidro Labrador in downtown Zapopan, the address is Sabino Delgado # 583. Father Romanoski will be celebrating there during August at 7:00 pm Mon, Tue, Wed and Friday, at 5:00 pm on Thu, 11:00 am on sat and 2:00 pm on Sundays.

    Questions for Edgar:

    1. Will the church of San Pedro in Guadalajara be exclusively used by the FSSP or will it be shared with a novus ordo congregation?

    2. What is the address of San Pedro?

    3. Is Father Prosinger already in Guadalajara?

    John, let me answer your questions:
    1.Yes, the FSSP will be the only order celebrating there and obviously only in TLM.

    2.The address is Tapalpa # 56 on the corner with Isla Navidad and the “Colonia” is Vallarta Poniente. For more information is about 4 blocks from “La Minerva” roundabout or you can look for a map in this link http://www.guiaroji.com.mx/

    3.Not yet, we are expecting him in september.

    This is a hugely positive story:

    Some think we need masses in 40 languages and 40 styles. NO. The Traditional rite unites all believers throughout the world (and, folks, it’s REALLY not hard to follow the Latin with a missal, and soon you’ll be surprised how much YOU pick up, and are able to follow along with on your own.)

    Btw: The three steps represent Faith Hope and Charity, as the Priest ascends to the “Holy of Holies,” where he will pray the Holy Sacrifice, the Unbloody Sacrifice of Christ Himself on the Altar; where that seminal even is shown for all to understand the original Sacrifice of Our Lord…

    That is the first and foremost aspect of Mass. It is not a “table,” but an Altar. We need to re-orient ourselves after 40 years of deconstruction in the Church. Christ’s Sacrifice was the final and ultimate “Sacrifice,” and is is re-presented everytime mass is prayed.

    The Jews had channels in the Temple to allow all the blood of their sacrifices to flow out of. Christ was the Last Sacrifice, but it is important that we recognize Christ’s final Sacrifice for what it is….
