I find it a bit much to see a plug for Kindle (whose television ad campaign included a pro gay marriage spot last February) right after a post titled “Homosexualists destroy another Christian business.”

Looks like a good product. I used to have the original Kindle until one day i accidentally leaned on the screen with my hand and poof! Since then I bought the Kindle Fire which I find useful when I travel as I can check email and surf the web (including this blog of course) as well as read books. It was nice that all the books that I had purchased for my old Kindle got automatically downloaded from Amazon’s “cloud” onto my new device.
However I have to admit I have mixed feelings about the whole e-book phenomenon. I still prefer to buy paper books particularly if I think I am going to read the boo more than once or if I plan to give it to someone else e.g. my family. Also there is the fact that my paper books will survive TEOTWAWKI (EMP event) whereas the Kindles will be toast (maybe literally).
JonPatrick: I suppose we should all get two Kindles and keep one in a Faraday cage with a solar panel charger against the day when it happens! You can load the one in storage with survival manuals and spiritual reading and classics.
