I read on the site of NLM that the book about the “School of Bologna” (here) and interpretations of the Second Vatican Council by Archbp. Agostino Marchetto is finally in English. Marchetto kindly inscribed my copy when it first came out. It called:
The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council: A Counterpoint for the History of the Council

Thanks for posting this, Father. I just ordered it.
Would be delighted to read this, but it is a bit much for a starving graduate student. I will request our library carry a copy.
Might be interesting; I also think Msgr. Gherardini’s book Vatican Council II, a Much Needed Discussion is a watershed book, in ways, inasmuch as it was published by a major Theologian who works and resides within the Vatican.
Oops, here’s the correct link (was trying to get too fancy with hyperlinked words!):

I saw that on NLM too. Has anyone read it? Any reviews… Father Z?
Forgive my ignorance, but is there truly a “School of Bologna” that dominated the theory(until recently) of interpretation of the Second Vatican Council?
Part of me wishes that there really is, because the irony would be just too perfect.
As an aside, are the Vatican II preparatory commissions’ schemas available to the public? I would like to know what topics they considered to cover. Thanks
