Is that Obama doing the Hitler salute/Tennis Court oath??
Does that mean we are now a Puppet State?
Is this what the great progressive visionaries of the 60s and 70s do for arts and crafts time in their senior citizen homes?
If these weren’t so pathetic, they would be the stuff of nightmares!
Dr. K-spot on! I like your style!
Whenever “Giant Puppets” were referenced in posts herein, I thought it was just a kind of inside joke. These are so stupid. How could anyone be taken in by such clap trap? I take it all but the one seen at the OWS rally have been ground to dust? Hope so.
No, not only it is not a coincidence, I’ll go out on a limb and suggest that puppeteers of this kind wouldn’t even bother pretending it is a coincidence. It’s from Bread & Puppet theater: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_and_Puppet_Theater
Oh, come on. OWS isn’t about civil rights or big corporations. It’s about corn syrup! And BHT! And dye Red 40! At least, according to OWS people who called into “The Dave Ramsey Show” a few weeks back…there is absolutely no unity there at all.
I saw the OWS puppets and had the same thought.
I’d love to have been there when the CTA event planners were pitching these creepy puppets.
So much has di-SIN-tegrated over the past 40 or so years that these images no longer have shock value. That is the saddest of all. Remember when the Moto Proprio was first published and promulgated? Every media agency had pictures of Mass being said Ad Orientem, Beautiful Vestments, Priests with Deacon and SubDeacon, and Magnificent and Solemn Altars and Sanctuaries and that is what shocked people. Truly the Church has been turned upside down and we are standing on the ceiling, no longer recognizing the floor!
Birds of a feather flock together … I wish I didn’t see kids in that first picture.
Why don’t the darks of the eyeballs in these things touch both lids? They look ill, as well as ugly.
