Here is a lesson in deep hypocrisy. As you peruse the following, consider Starbuck’s corporate support of pro-abortive forces, especially where he talks about being used.

Few topics in America generate a more polarized and emotional debate than guns. In recent months, Starbucks stores and our partners (employees) who work in our stores have been thrust unwillingly into the middle of this debate. That’s why I am writing today with a respectful request that customers no longer bring firearms into our stores or outdoor seating areas.

Recently, however, we’ve seen the “open carry” debate become increasingly uncivil and, in some cases, even threatening. Pro-gun activists have used our stores as a political stage for media events misleadingly called “Starbucks Appreciation Days” that disingenuously portray Starbucks as a champion of “open carry.” To be clear: we do not want these events in our stores. Some anti-gun activists have also played a role in ratcheting up the rhetoric and friction, including soliciting and confronting our customers and partners.
For these reasons, today we are respectfully requesting that customers no longer bring firearms into our stores or outdoor seating areas—even in states where “open carry” is permitted—unless they are authorized law enforcement personnel. [So, it’s not “You are forbidden to bring your CCW in here. It’s “Pretty please with cream and sugar in it.”]
I would like to clarify two points. First, this is a request and not an outright ban.

I suppose parents cannot “respectfully request” that they stop supporting same-sex marriage which is violently attacking our society and that stores keep all homosexual PDA out of their stores since they are killing our children’s innocence????? I’m just sayin’…

I avoid Starbucks always after being educated to their pro abortion posturing. Their coffee tastes like gasoline anyway.
All the same – I’ll take that apology with a 6 pump Hazelnut, Caramel Sauce Top and Bottom, extra hot, Soy, No whip, half-caf Mocha. non-fat decaf vanilla drizzled mocha saturated extra cinnamon no chocolate half whip cream half marshmallow double caffeinated coffee with a pinch of extra orange zest from an African orange with some ice. Buh bye!

Criminals, killers, mass murderers…whether you believe they are crazy or just plain evil, one thing they are NOT is stupid. Mass shootings tend to happen in movie theatres, schools, churches, and at our gee-thanks-Mr.-Clinton disarmed army/naval bases [Apparently the order started under Bush 41.] because the NOT STUPID predator knows where to find the easy, unarmed prey.
Perhaps we should make our politicians watch a certain number of hours of both Animal Planet channel and National Geographic channel before voting on any new weapons laws. They would learn much about the predator/prey dynamic. A good course in Genesis perhaps team taught by a rabbi, priest and minister would help too; as it is the best book ever written about the human psyche.
Ah, Starbucks. Indoctrinating the world through coffee, one cup at a time.

So, two lesbians and to homosexual men go into a Starbucks restaurant, accompanied by their fathers, both with loaded, visible firearms.
Starbucks’ management welcomes them with open arms, because it’s a pair of shotgun weddings.
A man intent on grand larceny enters a Starbucks, carrying the weapon another patron had to leave outside, because guns aren’t allowed in Starbucks.
Starbucks will, for the safety of its patrons, install metal detectors/scanners. No concealed weapons…. no problem.
Surrealism? Reality? Hard to tell, sometimes.
Besides the moral reasons involving basic civil rights, here are three more reasons to take your business elsewhere (Wyoming):
Over rated
Over roasted
Over priced

All of us law enforcement types in my town avoid Starbucks even though Starbuck’s CEO says its OK for us cops to carry. We have much better coffee elsewhere in town anyhow at 1/2 the price. Personally I haven’t had a cup of their Joe since their stance on abortion and homosexual “marriage” became known. We cops don’t even go out to coffee on those days I work (I’m only a part-timer now). On my work days I bring Mystic Monk to the cop shop and brew it there. It’s hard to get my fellow officers to leave the station and go on patrol until the Mystic Monk is all gone. And for those who wonder, all of us gave up donuts a long time ago as well.
Go to Indie shops for coffee, they care about the product, not about controlling your life.
So Starbucks is on its way to becoming another criminal empowerment zone. I suppose with their existing support for abortion and ‘marriage equality,’ this is to be expected.

No pro-life, pro-marriage, ‘pro-gun activists’, one hopes, unless satirically (but satire and irony of that sort are always risky: someone might mistakely think they were endorsing Mr. Schultz and his politically correct strutters and fretters).
I doubt that Starbucks’ stances hurt them too much in, say, the environs of Seattle or Portand (or for that matter, here in DC).
Nonetheless, there are good reasons why it’s best for service companies to avoid taking political positions. And if you do, be prepared to take the hit.
I’m a Dunkin’ Donuts kind of guy (and Starbuck’s coffee tastes burnt, and I don’t like it). But it seems that the CEO has a problem with open carry, because it disturbs some of the sheep. They get nervous because the sheepdog has teeth like a wolf. They would prefer that he pull his teeth, paint himself white and go “baaaaaaaa”. *
So if they don’t see the gun, they won’t get disturbed. Keep it concealed and no harm no foul.
