A long time ago now, I wrote a prayer for people to use before they got online and used the internet. Originally in Latin, it has been translated into many languages (sometimes more than once).

I often forget to pray before using the internet. I often fail in charity when using it. This tool of social communication and research and entertainment has amazing upsides and spiritually deadly perils. We all should be very careful in how we use it – and through – use each other, “use” in the finer sense of “treat”.
A little while ago I got a version in Tamil. Today I found a new one in my email box.

Father, of the two versions of the prayer in Swedish only the second is correct. I’d remove the first one, it is not true to your original.

Special day today for the Holy Father who is a walking example of the prayer. surprised the world by taking the name of St Francis of Assisi, the name which symbolizes poverty, humility, simplicity, peace, love for creation and rebuilding the Catholic Church. The Pope of surprises and genuineness, reminds the church and the world of today to follow the model of humble and joyful St Francis to “repair the church” and to heal the broken world.
The Pope follows the example of Il Poverello whom said, “It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching.” He exhorted his brothers: “Preach the gospel at all times and use words when necessary.”

It’s a little more fluent because maj is our, but ma’ is the possessive form. It makes it sound a little less word-for-word.
A Prayer before connecting to the Internet

Which is, literally,
A Prayer before continuously opening the Internet.
There is no word for, “connecting to,” that I know of.
Bear in mind that I am not a native-speaker and I only have access to publicly available sources. I gave the Klingon dictionary to my brother for a Christmas present some years, ago. I defer to any Klingons who might be reading and hope that I am not skewered with a bat’leth.

The language is fairly straightforward. It is similar to Hebrew, in that it has no verb tenses and a great deal of in-word modifiers (so, it both easier and harder than Latin). Time is indicated from within the context. It has many different modifiers as both suffixes and prefixes.

Now, my translation was done in about an hour with no previous knowledge of the language, so it can’t be considered to be anything more than a rough pass. As far as I know, however, it is the only attempt in the known universe to translate it, except, possibly, outside of the M-brane that contains the last trapped Klingons from the pre-rebooted Star Trek, whom, I am sure can only read this blog, but not make comments.
I am sure that if I studied the language a bit more, I could do a better job, however, I am fairly certain that no Klingon reading it would be insulted :)
As for an audio recording, there isn’t enough vodka in all of Russia that could make that come out right.

Fr. Z, I concur with Mariana2 – the first Swedish version ought to be removed from your list.
Is there a chance that someone could translate this modern prayer into the ancient Gothic language? For example: Our Father – ” Atta unsar thu in himinam, weihnai namo thein.” If I’m not mistaken, St Isidor’s mother was of royal Visigoth descent, so he would hear this prayer in his mother tongue!

Not quite true to say St Francis of Assisi, actually has nothing to do with that prayer.
It first appeared during the First World War. It was found written on the obverse of a holy card of St. Francis, which was found in a Norman Almanac. The prayer bore no name; but in the English speaking world, on account of this holy card, it came to be called the Peace Prayer of St. Francis.
