You can’t possibly suggest that Pope Francis isn’t so fluffy, can you?
A Bouncer! A Bouncer? Well I’ll be a dirty self-absorbed promethean neopelagianist with manifestations of an anthropocentric immanentism.
Where’s the original language found? God bless him.
This is a HOOT! Viva il Papa, e Viva Papino Benedetto…..!
WEll Hopefully Papa Francesco will do some house cleaning….he seems to be right in line or keeping people in Line!
Hopefully he will remember his experience as a bouncer when he deals with the German Bishops, and will show them the door.
You mean this man worked all his life? Really? Say it isn’t so…….
(Its funny how often people are amazed that clergy are REAL people who have led REAL lives… and that includes the time before they accepted their vocations).
Ostiarius Maximus
Makes you rather looking forward to a sermon of H.H. on the 1st Advent of year B, next year, with its explicit emphasis on the doorkeeper.
Bishop and bouncer puts me in mind of St. Nicholas.
You see the Pope in photos and you see him in videos. For me though, I find it hard to get a feel for the physical stature of someone just through images. But a bouncer, eh? You can’t be a bouncer if you’re a shrimp. You have to be somewhat physically intimidating, at least. So the Pope is a “big boy” – good to know. Heretics, beware!
I think that you should change your line about Greg Reynolds to: “And Australian former-priest Greg Reynolds is still bounced”
Pope Fluffy is going to kick some malcontents out of the Vatican next. Kicked out of a bar, fine. Kicked out of the Catholic Church, not so good.
