As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

I am suffering from a severe relapse of a long-term and likely permanent condition of which high blood pressure is often a symptom. I’ve had high blood pressure before with this condition, but during the past two weeks it has skyrocketed to levels that I have never seen before. The medication I am taking for it has not helped much, which is stressing me and making things worse. I’ve also been ill otherwise the past couple weeks and cannot shake this virus or whatever it is that I have. I am alone and worry what will happen to my pets if I am hospitalized, or worse. Any prayers for my healing would be greatly appreciated.
As always, I’ll gladly add all petitions here to my Rosary. Thank you!

Pray for Simcha Fisher and her family ~ she’s a blogger at Patheos and a columnist at the National Catholic Register (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/simchafisher/2013/12/31/grief-hope-exhaustion-prayer-request/). They are expecting a very wanted baby #10, but she is having bleeding issues. They are awaiting blood test results which may indicate if she is starting to miscarry. Jesus, through the intercession of your most holy Mother, have mercy on them.
Please pray for the return of my wife and children to the sacraments of confession and the weekly Eucharist.
Dear Sicilian Woman, I will pray especially for you as this happened to me earlier this year, rocketing blood pressure, and it is very frightening, particularly if it is slow to bring under control. Try to stay as calm as you can and I am sure they will get the medication right very soon.
Praying for all the other intentions too and may I ask your prayers for my husband about whom I am very concerned at present; I fear his mental health is not good, he is saying and doing strange things, under a lot of stress at work and seems very depressed. Thankyou all.

Prayers for everyone here and their beloved family and friends. Please pray for serious health issue which is preventing return to daily Mass and Adoration. Also, I am in desperate need of a new car to assist in getting to doctors. Also am praying that this year God will open the door for me to move close to my physicians and support system. Please continue to pray for my family and friendship circle who are militant atheists of the kind that will not and cannot believe in that which is not impirically verifiable (if they cannot see it, they don’t believe it; if it is not objectively provable outside the framework of faith, it cannot be held to be true). Additionally, please pray for Lynda (long-term family friend of 44 years who will be staying on 8 February here for a night who is radically against Christian modesty and headcovering) I practice both but with a ‘headband’ cover only plus covered bun and modest but fashionable clothing – e.g. I don’t look as though I’ve just walked off of the 1880’s prairies, but support those for whom this choice is theirs nonetheless) and am skirts only; she believes in the culture of exposure as a typical boomer liberal). My husband has counselled against detatching from all family or friends who are militant secular atheists, as such would also include large portions of his family and friends.
I thank all who have prayed for my move and settling into the Shoal Haven; the worst is over as we rack up a month down here to the date tomorrow (Friday 3 January) and racked up a month to the day this tue past.
I wish to be a daily communicant, but the only church that offers daily mass is over the river and the one and only service commences while I am still on the first bus of the morning with a ten minute walk ahead on Tue, Wed and Thu; Mon is 7AM start 54 minutes before the first bus of the day ; I would get there just about on completion of the Mass. At present, I am able to bus into the Fri mid-morning Rosary and Adoration plus mass, along with the Saturday morning mass at 9:00AM and confession. I don’t drive due to vision impairment and use http://www.satogo.com to access all things computer related) the Sunday mass is at the little church 150M up the street.
Now when Lynda comes to stay, I’ll be going to Mass on the Sunday; please pray that I can do so without her angst; she thinks anybody who attends weekly is already a fundi and considers those who would put it about being hospitable to be rude; its a ‘guitar mass’ so I don’t have the allure of the old-time hymns to draw her to. These people; the family and extended friendship group, wer raised with God’s truth but wantonly reject it and believe that Church teaching is homophobic and anti woman, a tool of repression and control, of which teachings on satan and afterlife are merely an extention of said fear control. they see it (Catholic Christianity) as ‘pale, stale and male’ or merely a massive case of Stockholm syndrome re those believers in the developing world in places that are former European colonies. Super Trad Mum, your two articles recently re the impiricist (excuse spelling) and the four types of unbelievers speak to my circle, especially Category four. They will not hear.
Of interest, I am signing onto the Scapular of Benediction and Protection for me and the house; (they are presently on order) and will be here in a fortnight; this scapular speaks to so many of us, I believe. I am already signed on to the Brown Scapular (if anybody has ideas on my sacramentals not becoming hopelessly tangled up from wear, please let me know).
I also uphold Fr. Zuhlsdorf regularly in prayer for his much needed intentions.

PS: Please help me be a 1 Pet ch3 Catholic Christian to those of my family and circle who are past words, logic and critical debate, that I may decrease so Christ may increase, that they do not see me but Him; that our Blessed Mother protect me also, plus my husband – PLEASE may he come to faith (lapsed Catholic; I wasn’t Catholic when we married but in the process of exiting 21 years of SDA’ism with a childhood and subsequent detox in Evangelical Anglicanism of the http://www.sydneyanglicans.org and GAFCON varieties i.e. Calvinist ‘wannabes’ )
I know I bang on about this all the time, but it presses in hard upon me. those of you in lovely trad circles with good family etc., count yourself rarely blessed.
Fr. Z., special articles of encouragement for those of us who would love to be a daily communicant but cannot due to isolation, disability, illness or other mitigating circumstances beyond our control would be dearly appreciated.

That God may grant peace in my family, especially with regard to my elder nephew’s mental health and substance abuse problems, and that they may be received / reconciled into Holy Mother Church.
Pray for my father who has dementia and for me who am his caregiver. I take care of him and work full time and often under such stress that I burst into tears.
Also pray for a priest in our diocese who has been accused of an improper relationship with a minor.

Please pray for my mother in law who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She’s such a good mother in law!
Please also pray for my lovely parish which is falling apart due to our angry pastor. He lectures specific persons AT MASS and generally acts very strangely, unfriendly and inadequate. The bishop is aware of the situation but won’t help us. I’ve been given a totally unexpected way out of my personal predicament, thanks to your prayers!, but I cry at night when I think of all the broken hearts of my fellow parishoners. We have no other church to go to, here in the diaspora. We are so utterly crushed. Pray for Fr. M.
Please pray for me and my ex-fiance, whom i have just broken off my engagement with. It hurt, but it was for the best. I want to have a spouse with which i can share a faith life, and that just wasn’t going to happen with him and I. Please pray for him, that he can move on and find happiness that he deserves.

I know what you are going through. My father had alzheimers and I took care of him for 4 years until he passed. You and your father will be in my prayers.
