Two birds with one stone

Some Monday morning humor.  I did know about Dixon Diaz, but he’s got some game:

About Fr. John Zuhlsdorf

Fr. Z is the guy who runs this blog. o{]:¬)

    “Apologies” indeed!

Whoever this Dixon Diaz is, I hope for his sake that Aaron McGruder doesn’t mind him lifting and rescripting his Boondocks artwork.

  2. Kent Wendler says:

If my memory serves me correctly, his Boondocks strip is a favorite of college student newspapers – and very much in the “left – liberal” category. Fr. Z, I think you will only need to browse a few examples of those strips online to decide that yours and his sympathies are rather orthogonal.

Perhaps Mr. McGruder has become even more “cautiously pessimistic” about Mr. Obama’s presidency than he was quoted as being five years ago – in which case any ‘rescripting’ here might meet with his approval? Or perhaps this is a satirically corrective parody of an excess of caution in one direction on the part of Mr. McGruder, who does not seem particularly characterized by that disposition in general? Mr. Diaz does not, in his own way, seem characterized by caution, either…

  4. Kudos to this man!
Let’s hope he doesn’t wind up in the pokey next to Dinesh D’Souza.

Dixon Diaz has done some swingeing ‘rescripting’ of Peanuts, as well, with a Lucy Van Pelt as modern statist education ideologues would like to have her – and every other pre-teen!
