UPDATE: Beresheet Moon Landing expected to start at 3:05 p.m. EST (2005 GMT).

Israel spacecraft Beresheet will attempt Moon landing today.

Moon Landing expected to start at 3:05 p.m. EST (2005 GMT).

A selfie from Beresheet…

The lander did NOT safely land.

We were using ZedNet during the landing process.  Just sayin’

In honor of the landing attempt, I am attempting a new recipe for oxtails.   I put it together from scraps in the fridge.

After some hours, I am ready to dig in.   After the fact, I can affirm that everything fell off the bones.

    Praise the Lord.

    Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise him in the heights above.

    Praise him, all his angels;
    praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

    Praise him, sun and moon;
    praise him, all you shining stars.

    Praise him, you highest heavens
    and you waters above the skies.
    Psalm 148

    Looking forward to jumping on zednet as early as tomorrow. Put in for my DMR ID yesterday and they approved it in less than a minute. My wife’s took a bit longer.

    Shame they didn’t stick the landing.

  3. JustaSinner says:

    Wouldn’t a new recipe for Matzo balls been more appropo? Or how about a Rueben piled high nearly to the moon? Just sayin’…

    [I didn’t have any of those things. I made what I had the best way I could. Perhaps that was enough.]

  4. Jacob says:

    SpaceX though had another successful launch and landing today. It was cool to watch.

  5. The cool stuff always happens on days when I have court. First the conclave that elected Pope Benedict XVI, now this!

  6. Flos Carmeli says:

    If those are your fridge scraps….! :-D Yum indeed.

    [Yes, indeed. The oxtails were in the freezer and they needed using, as did the aging celery, carrots, green onions (I won’t use them again in this!) and an opened cartoon of broth.]

  7. Gregg the Obscure says:

    Oxtails as in “the cow jumped over the moon”?
