Over at Weblog Tools Collection there is very useful post:
Did you know that bloggers use gang signs?
Apparently… Bloggers are Dangerous.
Check out this helpful chart at Innovation Creators so that you too can recognize when you might be in danger from bloggers.

That’s really not funny. Gangs aren’t something to be taken lightly. I would know. I live among them, for cryin out loud.
I dunno, Catherine. I’ve found (and take personal anecdotal evidence for wht its worth) that humor and good-natured ridicule is a very effective tool at combating bad behavior.
Can you imagine some young kid, full of teenage angst, thinking to himself “Gee, I really want to belong to something and be thought of as ‘cool’ but if I join a gang, people will think I’m some kind of nerdy blogger”
Well, from the midst of Detroit, hardly a gang-free utopia, I think it’s hilarious. Perhaps we need an appropriate hand-sign. Perhaps an “L” with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand, and an “O” with the fingers of the left hand for Liturgical Orthodoxy.
Fr Z is so 1337
There are also the hand signals used by Liturgical Referees.

You really need to put up a drink warning before posting things like this. My monitor…
“Fr Z is so 1337”
Okay, Brian…translation please? You’re so street.
I’m not saying this is dangerous or anything…I’m just saying it’s not funny.

1337 is a hackerish mutilation of “leet” (substituting numbers for letters they supposedly resemble, even if backwards), which stands for “elite”. As in “Dude, you’re really among the 1337 hackorz”.
