About this blog…
“This blog is like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” – Fr. Z

PLEASE subscribe via PayPal if it is useful. Zelle and Wise are better, but PayPal is convenient.
A monthly subscription donation means I have steady income I can plan on. I put you my list of benefactors for whom I pray and for whom I often say Holy Mass.
In view of the rapidly changing challenges I now face, I would like to add more $10/month subscribers. Will you please help?
For a one time donation...
To donate monthly I prefer Zelle because it doesn't extract fees. Use

VIDEO PILGRIMAGE to the Holy Land: Day 7

Priest weeps at irreverence for Eucharist, tells people to receive on the tongue. Wherein Fr. Z rants.
From ChurchPop comes a video and article about a priest who, clearly reacting to some act(s) of irreverence in regard to the Blessed Sacrament, had enough of the sacrilege. There is a video of him literally weeping and then explaining … Read More

Rush Limbaugh passed away this morning. We have lost a hero. Pray for him. Requiescat in pace.
You are NOT exempt from service, dear readers. None of us are. Wherein Fr. Z rants.
At Crisis today there is a good piece about “cancel culture” and the would-be despots who use it as a tool of bullying and intimidation. “Cancel culture” is within the walls, now, of the Church as well, like orcs at … Read More
Is survival mode all we have now?
No one can give what they don’t have. In fun-Latin, nemo dat quod non ‘got’. And yet the universal vocation to evangelize is predicated on what we have, what we have received. We haven’t been evangelizing well. Rather, we seems to … Read More
