Great video! Thank you, Holy Father!

  2. Liz says:

    Very well done. That’s beautiful!

I just want to cry every time I think of how little time we have left with him as our Holy Father. Tonight at Stations of the cross when we got to the end where we prayed for the Holy Father’s intentions I realized that next Friday he would no longer be our Holy Father. We’ve been so blessed.

    A beautiful video tribute!

  5. Jean Marie says:

I will miss him so much. I was a huge fan of his years before he became Pope and was thrilled when he was elevated. Holy Spirit, please give us another man of his caliber, and don’t let one of the “wolves” ascend.

  6. Jim of Bowie says:

Jean Marie, My thoughts exactly. It was in 2003 when I started praying for him to be the next Pope when I viewed his interview with Raymond Arroyo. You may enjoy viewing it here

Another moving tribute to our beloved Papa Benedicto. I read his Angelus address this Sunday morning and found it very moving and beautiful. To read the pilgrims reactions and how our beloved Papa was moved made me cry. The Lord knows full well how much all of us will miss him but we must press on and keep our eyes on the Lord as our Holy Father would have us do by his wonderful and life-changing example. These are trying times indeed as so many continue to slander and belittle and give cause for scandal in and out of our beloved Church.
    Let’s keep praying!

A wonderful piece by Father G. Rutler:

  9. Atra Dicenda, Rubra Agenda says:

Did anyone else notice Benedict’s XVI’s Coat of Arms at this videos’ beginning shows a clear papal tiara rather than the mitre he chose for his actual Coat of Arms.

“The Lord Calls Me Up the Mountain” – At Peter’s Window, The Farewell Begins

I hope many will watch this wonderful video.

  11. Giuseppe says:

Atra, re. the Pope’s coat of arms in that tribute video. That is not his coat of arms. (It even has someone’s initials on the bottom.) His coat has a triple-banded mitre instead of the tiara. In addition, the image with the tiara has the ends of the pallium pointing downward, whereas the Pope’s coat has the pallium ends pointing upward.

Personally, I like the triple banded mitre much better. It evokes the history of the three crowns, but it reminds everyone that the pope is first and foremost a bishop.

And the tiara is still on the emblem for Vatican City and on the Vatican Flag.

  12. Giuseppe says:

Actually, the MF initials in the Tiara Coat-of-arms are those of Marvo Foppoli – a specialist in ecclesiastical heraldry.
