Strange… a few days ago there was a drop in the number of people subscribing to my RSS feed, but the traffic has been greater and greater.
Feedburner recently made some changes.
I don’t understand these things very well, I’m afraid.
Please consider subscribing.
Just put “SSPX”
in the title of a link. People will cancel subscriptions and newbies will be pulled out of the woodwork to look at your site.
Other bloggers will afirm this.
I subscribe through Google Reader. I’m not sure if that shows up in the stats you’re checking, Father, but I would guess there is a fair number getting their wdtprs fix through this means.
I also subscribe through Google Reader.
Your stats may not reflect the true traffic, For example, do they include counts for those of us who “subscribe” through Mozilla Thunderbird?
I lost feedburner widget to WDTPRS some time ago and will have to put it back in my sidebar.
It may not be a feedburner issue, but Hugo has a point: Titles have a lot to do with traffic, I’ve found.
I will consider subscribing if you tell me what an RSS Feed is. When I click on the “subscribe” button I am given a whole bunch of options, presumably for software, that I need to subscribe to the feed. Would someone explain what this is for and what I should download? I am hesitant to clog my computer up with new software unless it is really necessary.
Father:
I’m not sure I understand your post. Do you require us to re-subscribe to the Feedburner feed? (I am currently subscribed to wdtprs.com/blog/feed ).
Thanks,
Mark
I use a proprietary RSS system which I’m still developing. I noticed recently that my feeds were off not only on your site, Father, but others as well. I don’t yet know the answer, but I’ll find out!
Father,
FWIW, the aggregator that I use for my BlackBerry hasn’t updated since Wednesday.
