   I think we all feel this way sometimes, Fr. Z. It’s those types of tasks that we really are not enthused about and so we keep us procrastinating until the deadline approaches and we have no time left. Then the guillotine blade drops. And yet the saints tell us to do those tasks FIRST with a smile as an offering to God.

   The answer to Savage’s question, based on my personal experience of better than half a decade having to use incompetently written software, is a resounding Yes, not only is it possible, it can be downright probable!

   Panic brings indifference, as if one cannot cope, one gives up. Keep on truckin’….

   It is a struggle to refrain from using indifference as a response to the panic many days.

   agreed, much so (in fact, that’s exactly how I felt while trying to study for my psychology test last night)

   As a computer programmer, I try to avoid this at all times while writing software. However, let’s not forget that computer programmers are only human (as well).
