YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have a pressing personal petition.  Really.  And I would appreciate prayers for a swift, complete, and lasting recovery from a present illness.

May I ask for prayers for recovery from a virus causing a throat infection? I’ve been ill with several of these bugs this year already, which is quite depressing, one illness after the other. A little help from Heaven would not go amiss.

Things ‘n’ Stuff. God knows it.

  3. Suburbanbanshee says:

Phil_NL: When I had several respiratory infections in a row, it brought down my Vitamin A levels (along with other vitamins), and I didn’t stop getting them until I got my Vitamin A back up. (And obviously the B vitamins, C, and D are all good stuff too.) So help your body out and get it some Vitamin A. (Especially since the next malnutrition step is your hair falling out, which also isn’t fun.) Also, praying!

A man I work with will have a triple bypass on Wednessday.

  12. Spade says:

I just found out (like, 20 minutes ago) that my dad may, hopefully I guess, be put on a heart transplant list. He’s been suffering for heart problems for decades that may ultimately be connected to his chemistry work with the government. Evidently his condition is getting worse, so he might go on the list if he passes some tests Wednesday.

My wife’s pregnant with his first granddaughter, so I’d like to have him around for a bit longer.

And now I’m going to go buy some scotch.

  21. Cafea Fruor says:

@CatholicCoffee, I’ll be praying for this woman in particular, as I went through the struggles of leaving the convent myself about a decade ago. It’s REALLY hard (probably the single hardest thing I’ve ever done), and even harder than entering the convent, so I feel for her.

If she hasn’t heard of it, you might recommend to her http://www.leonieslonging.org. It’s run by a group of women who have made an apostolate of assisting other women who have left religious life. Among other things, they have a blog with helpful posts about things ranging from practical tips for getting on one’s feet as well as dealing with the heartbreak and struggles with faith. And they might even be able to connect her to another woman who lives near her so she can have someone to chat with and lean on a bit.
