Do you remember that some time ago lib camp followers around the Vatican suggested that there should be some sort of approval system for Catholic websites?
LOL!
Yes… that was a good one.
We know how that would have turned out, especially in light of the brutal sidelining of Card. Burke and then the crackdown on Bp. Athanasius Schneider, who was told not to travel. They would have posted the New catholic Red Guards on it and that would have been that. Oppression and terror-tactics would abound, because that’s how libs roll.
At the time I suggested that, were such a thing to be attempted, there would immediately rise up a kind of Catholic samizdat.
As it turns out Card. Burke developed a website recently. HERE
So, too, now has Bp. Schneider!
Lessons on the faith. I’m intrigued. Schneider is a seriously good teacher.
¡Hagan lío!
Unless I’m much mistaken it was one lib camp follower in particular who advocated a seal of approval, none other than Fr “Lobochevsky” Rosica.
Oh the irony!
And unless I’m much mistaken, both Card. Burke and Bp. Schneider got the idea for starting their websites, from Fr. Z’s comment about a Catholic samizdat!
LOL!
The good Bishop’s new website seems a little buggy–each time I try to subscribe for email updates, I receive errors. Perhaps Fr. Z’s Internet prayer is in order! I look forward to reading His Grace’s articles and email communications once all is ironed out on the tech side, though.
Thanks for the heads up Father. Hope this is the beginning of a movement for our Bishops to give voice to the Truth amid the confusion. Let us pray it’s to be so.
I have signed up and had no hitches.
Thanks, JARay–seeing your comment prompted me to try again, and this time it went through without a problem for me as well.
Thank you Father Z for posting these stalwart Cardinal and Bishop’s sites. What a treasure they are! Faithful Catholics NEED these Shepherds’ to continue to light the way and to help shore up our souls in the great battle before us. Viva Cristo Rey!
That is a terrific website. Probably won’t get the uploadit-atur, though.
