This morning our very young visiting priest mentioned both of these feasts from, as he said, “the olden days.” I vaguely remember Our Lady Mediatrix in connection with May 8th but I can’t recall where I noticed it. When I attempted to find in in a 1962 missal there is nothing. May 8th is the 67th anniversary of my first confession [tomorrow First Communion and on a Saturday back then!]. I’d appreciate knowing that first confession was accomplished on this feast. Where might I find it? Was it only observed on local calendars?
By the way, I like this timed editing option.
