From VIS we learn that the Holy Father has appointed new consultors to the Congregation for Divine Worship and Discipline of the Sacraments.
I will highlight a few who will be particularly good.
Hopefully the Anglophones will be able to provide some balance and good contributions even during the process of reworking the English translation of the Roman Missal.
Some people are whining that Rome is making changes to the translation submitted by the conferences of bishops.
I will opine more about this someday.

Or perhaps has the Holy Father created a wonderful new position of simply “Vicar General” able exercise his vicarious authority always and everywhere. A Vicar General Plenipotentiary. If indeed that is a new post, I may have decided on a new job I want to have…

Ah, good to know, thanks Professor. A bit disappointing nonetheless, I was hoping for the creation of the post of Vicarius Generalis Generalis :)

Fr. Cassian’s name on that list was only a matter of time. He is truly a wonderful liturgist.

Fr. Dennis McManus is an EXCELLENT choice as well. He was a formation advisor at Conception Seminary College in Missouri for a brief time before needing to return to DC due to his work. He’s a top notch scholar, excellent human being, and what some would call a “priests-priest.” Definitely a gem to the Church as a whole and I am more than blessed to have known him.

Which was only established a few years ago. Lichtenstein was originally part of the diocese of Chur, whose bishop, Wolfgang Haas (born in Vaduz), was hated by liberal priests and other Swiss bishops. He was simply too Catholic. The bishops would actually speak against him in public.
Rome’s solution (i.e., Sodano’s) was to split off Lichtenstein as an archdiocese and name Haas as the ordinary.
