What species is that Father? I’ve not heard of Frasier Fern before. I’m a forestry graduate – I hope I didn’t miss something important! =p

    Nice tree.

The Christmas tree can be a great sacramental for Catholics. The tree reminds us of the tree in the Garden of Eden by which Adam and Eve were overcome by sin. More importantly, the Christmas tree reminds us of the tree by which our sin was overcome, namely the tree upon which Jesus was crucified. Some people further bring out the symbolism of the Christmas tree by decorating it with apples to remind them of the Tree in the Garden of Eden and also with small white wafer ornaments to remind them of the Holy Eucharist, the food which brings Redemption.

    Merry Christmas!

Reminds me of a Boston Fir. ;-)

    Rev. Father,

All due respect, but it reminds me of a Fraser fir.

What a beautiful tree! Are there any ornaments with a special story?

  7. The problem with posting from the phone is that the phone itself starts to change, by suggesting, spellings.

Of course it is a FIR.

    And it was gorgeous.

  8. JL says:

Maybe you could have a tree fern next year. :)

  9. Warren says:

    A beautiful tree. I’m (ever)green with envy. :-)
