That’s good news for me, because I will be leaving the parish ministry next month. Congratulations to you too, Fr. Z!
If only that closing Mass were a Traditional one…
I’m happy to see the Curé of Ars selected as the patron of priests. He is a great example for priests everywhere whose words and deeds never fail to inspire and encourage.
I thought St. Jean Vianney was already the patron saint of all priests?
Fr. Z. or someone else in the know, can you give me a clarification? Just like Rachel, I thought he already was the patron of priests. Is there something special that you are being congratulated on, Father? Sorry, if I am out of the loop.
Sorry for being so stupid. He is now patron of only parish priests.
Nope-He is going to be made patron of ALL PRIESTS.
He was previously patron of ‘parish priests’.
I know-it sounds confusing….
I believed he was already proclaimed almost one century ago.
