   Please tell us more soon. I saw that he was giving a talk that had a title somewhat on the lines of “ripping the images out of their hearts.” Images are very important to me, and Vatican II was an iconoclast movement (like Protestantism) that needed to rip the images out of people’s hearts in order to make its way and install itself.

   His talk was a good synthesis of quite a lot of what’s been said and written in the last 5 years.

   I bet your ears were ringing when he all but said that the Holy Father is the pope of Christian Unity. He made some good points there in response to a question.

   He agreed with an observation we made that we asked him to validate at the book signing table, in the European context, which was that patience was essential, and that the ” biological solution” was needed and working and that the older hold-outs would shortly succumb.

   I was there, too. The Mass was beautiful and the homily very good.
   I also very much appreciated Mr. Mosebach’s talk. Does anyone know if that was recorded or if it is possible to get a printout?

   I hope that the storm ahead does not put a damper on the event at St. Mary’s on Wednesday in Norwalk. Am getting quite tired of all the white stuff–no place left to put what I’ve shoveled.

   Is that their undercroft, or their parish hall, or their school auditorium, or what? Whatever it is, it looks pretty nice.

   That is the undercroft. It believe when the church was built that’s where Mass was held while the church was being finished. Today is used as a parish hall. The Church of Our Saviour does not have a school.

   I was also there last night, and was very impressed at the number of young seminarians who attended. These young men are obviously quite interested in learning about the TLM. I don’t think the seminaries are even teaching Latin, much less the Mass, but fortunately with priests like Father Z and Father Rutler of Our Savior, they should be able to learn. It was a very good size crowd overall. And the talk by Mr. Mosebach, who is obviously quite passionate about this subject, was tremendous. Read his book “Hersesy of Formlessness”, and you will know basically what he said last night.
