My View For Awhile: All Roads Edition

I’m off to Rome for a prolonged sojourn.

The last couple days have been spent in Brooklyn looking at churches and spending time with priest friends.

Sample,

And there were a couple meals.

Which drink is mine?

It has been great seeing more of this borough.

And now off we go out of JFK.

BTW … I haven’t done these MVFA posts in some time. This returns as a favor to Fr SC.

Safe and happy travels, Father Z and stay away from motorbikes!

  2. Marion Ancilla Mariae II says:

Those foot rests at your seat look to me rather like pedals . . . do you have some rudder control, Father?

    (How cool would that be?)

  3. Kathleen10 says:

Safe and happy travels to you! Post photos please, of whatever is beautiful or interesting.
I’ll say the martini, if that is one, no olive.
Come home safely, may angels accompany you all the way.

    Especially when maneuvering the streets!

All the best in Rome, and eat well.

Looking forward to photos. Are you staying by Campo dei Fiori again?

The martini, I assume… vodka if I remember correctly, although it has been a few years;-)

    Fr Z:

Enjoy your trip to your old home – Roma. Maybe you will get a one on one meeting with Pope Francis I.

By the way, are you staying for the Canonization of Blessed John Henry Newman?

  10. KandM6416 says:

Safe travels! Maybe we will see you there. My wife and I along with two little kids are heading off to Europe this weekend for a pilgrimage. Will be in Rome starting in a little over a week! Staying close to the FSSP parish.

Marion: that’s the foot rest in premium economy. A major annoyance provided to those who don’t turn left at the door

  12. Kevin says:

Wife and I’ll be in Rome in a month. Can’t wait…unfortunately you’ll probably be gone. One day I would love to meet you there.

  13. Chris Garton-Zavesky says:

While he’s in Rome, our host is going to be made a cardinal in pectore, folks, skipping over the monsignorate.

  14. Dad of Six says:

“While he’s in Rome, our host is going to be made a cardinal in pectore, folks, skipping over the monsignorate.”

And wearing a saturno, no doubt!

  15. Count me as a fan of the MVFA posts! You see the cover photo, and your pulse quickens because Fr. Z is on the move.

    Gorgeous church interior!

    Safe travels, Father Z!

Chris Garton-Zavesky: “While he’s in Rome, our host is going to be made a cardinal in pectore, folks, skipping over the monsignorate.”

    LOL!
