YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.  We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

Finally, I have a serious personal petition and that is familial.

    For the persecuted Church.

  3. Supertradmum says:

saint michael, may I suggest asking Bishop Alvaro del Portillo, the third person on Pope Francis’ canonization list with JPII and JXXIII? I am praying to him as well. Prayers for the two ladies mentioned.

For a special intention for a friend who is struggling. For my sons. For those battling cancer. For the protection of George Zimmerman.

    Where do I begin

So many needs; especially for others including 5 co-workers who are lapsed, the conversion to the One True Faith of poor British women who don’t know their dignity as women

I do have one request for myself; I’m no longer coming to America to study as the Bishop pulled the plug due to immigration concerns a prayer that I find a good Diocese, religious house or Institute of Apostolic life where I can be a Good Priest

  9. RMT says:

    For a special intention

  10. Liz says:

Prayers for you and your family, Father. I am praying for all of the other intentions. Please say a prayer for a friend who seems to be having a stroke.

  11. StJude says:

    Prayers for all of you.
I hate to ask just for me but my business is floundering and I am in full panic mode. Thanks.

For Bishop Mark Seitz, the newly installed Bishop of the Diocese of El Paso, a good and holy priest and disciple of Christ, and for the Catholics from Santa Teresa de Jesus parish in Presidio, Texas (Parochial Vicar – Rev. Michael Rodriguez), that those hurt by the scandals caused within this community may be healed and that Bishop Seitz will continue to follow the will of God in his ministry.

  15. Bea says:

Prayers for all of the above and that peace and reason reign in our nation.

  16. TundraMN says:

Although my prayer request is not urgent, please take a second, if you will, to pray for me. I am trying to discern what the Lord wants me to do with my life, career-wise, in order to best serve Him in the world and to best support my fiancé once we’re married. I will continue to pray for those without jobs at all as they are in a far more dire situation.

  17. NickD says:

Prayers going up for everybody here.

For the holy souls in purgatory…for the protection of the sanctity of human life from natural beginning to natural and, of marriage, and of the family…for all those who don’t feel God’s love in their lives.

Personally…I am discerning joining a certain religious order. I made a visit last month, and I wanted to apply then and there! The vocations director vetoed that, though :P and told me to pray over it. If I still wanted to join towards the last couple months of this calendar year, he said to call him for an application. So, if y’all could pray for me that I may have the wisdom to know and to do God’s will in my life, I would be much obliged!

  18. Cathy says:

Please pray for Sarah, has stage 4 cancer, and her husband and two young children. 20. HeatherPA says:

Repose of the soul of MM, who died suddenly of a heart attack and whose funeral mass is tomorrow, and for his wife’s sorrow.

My son to discern which college to attend and the funds to attend it.

Whether or not it be God’s will to pursue a job that is tailor made for my abilities.

  21. lmo1968 says:

Thank you for the prayers for the unemployed. I have struggled with long-term unemployment and am asking for prayers that I find a job that suits my needs. Thank you.

  22. SegoLily says:

For Al, a young homeless man, abandoned by his foster family and struggling with debt from old student loans.

For the dying and all who care for them.

For my brother who has hardened his heart against my elderly father all out of proportion to the perceived transgression. I fear for my brother’s soul over this matter if my brother doesn’t repent.

  23. Moro says:

For the grace to overcome personal struggles and to clearly know my vocation

  24. Joan M says:

Please pray for my brother, Canon James Joseph (Seamus) Cunnane. He is 84 years old and will be undergoing a quadruple by-pass on Wednesday, July 17th. Since he lives in Wales and I live in Trinidad, I feel more anxious than I would if I could be there with him.

  25. PA mom says:

Jack Hughes-:(. There has to be somewhere. You sound like a fine young man. Keep trying.

    Prayers for all.

  26. tjg says:

Prayers for my uncle Nick Miller, who at age 59 has already suffered from Parkinson’s for years and has had several back surgeries to try and stitch together what is left / keep him from a wheelchair permanently.

On the “share your good news” front – he was able to (slowly) walk his daughter down the aisle and dance the father / bride dance with her this past weekend at her wedding. Nary a dry eye in the place.

  27. Torpedo1 says:

Praying for all those intentions listed above. My heart especially goes out to those battling diseases, to those without jobs, trust me I’ve been there. The 30 days prayer to St. Joseph never fails, trust me. Also, that young woman struggling through that violating abuse but trying to do right by her baby. I pray that God’s love and grace surround her. And last but certainly not least, for you and your family Fr. Z. I hope everything is going well.
Finally, it’s nothing compared to what everyone else is going through, but would you, in your charity, please pray for my fiancé? He has bone spurs in his neck which are causing a pinched nerve. the chronick pain is back, but he sees the orthopedic doctor today. Pray they are able to find out something that will help him. He is very discouraged right now and is afraid he won’t be able to be a good husband/father to me and any children we may have. I know it’s nothing to those listed above, but thank you.

  28. acroat says:

  29. TopSully says:

For Liz Dadey, a young lady, college student, from our parish who has some really bad cancer in her lymph nodes. Also for her mother, father and three sisters. And please still for my father, the doctors still haven’t gotten any further in finding the cause of his breathing problems.

  30. Gregg the Obscure says:

My friend Bill is a widower with two teenage sons. He has returned to alcoholism. The boys are physically safe at the home of their uncle, but emotionally devastated. (I know I’ve posted this before, but the situation has worsened again.)

  31. TopSully says:

Torpedo1: I will certainly pray for your fiance, I too have the spurs in my neck and can offer some advice. I find that certain foods/drinks cause the nevers to “swell” more than others and that swelling causes the nerves to come in contact with the spurs. I now limit as much as possible my intake of salt in all its forms, caffeine and alcohol. This helps tremendously.

  32. PatrickJude says:

Please pray for me. i have stroke.

  33. Suburbanbanshee says:

My friend who had the stroke is much worse. She is the mother of five young children and she’s been moved to ICU! Please pray. This family had the little son who mirculously survived the flesh eating bacteria a few months ago.

  35. Theodore says:

For my father who was diagnosed with pneumonia and placed on antibiotic therapy.

  36. Kate says:

Please pray for my brother-in-law, RP; biopsy results received today confirm oral cancer.

Also, please pray for the soul of JM, a 17 year old girl who died in a car accident yesterday.

So many urgent prayer requests here. I just offered a prayer for all these intentions.

I almost am ashamed to even ask for prayers for myself in the midst of so many other urgent requests…. but we are in the middle of adopting a sibling group and need serious prayer. Please pray that God would overcome all the bureaucracy and roadblocks and set these lonely children into our family.

  41. Supertradmum says:

May I add one. I have more or less consistently ill since I left Tyburn. I think it has something to do with my immune system. Blood tests in Nov. were good, but cannot deal with another set now. Please pray, as I am physically very low. Thanks.
