Beatification Cause for Founder of Mary’s House at Ephesus to Begin in Kansas City
The cause for the beatification and canonization of the French Daughter of Charity regarded by the Church as the Founder of Mary’s House at Ephesus will open in Kansas City, January 21. I’ve been to Mother Mary’s House (a more complete translation of the Turkish name than the one used). It’s a very simple and humble place, and indeed lots of Muslims come there to pray. Many seem more reverent than some of the Western Europeans and Americans, who appear to be just ticking off another site on their must-see lists.
