The passing of Bp. Morlino – and the naming of his successor – is an important moment for the Church in the USA, particularly in light of The Present Crisis.
There has been quite a bit of even international coverage of his passing.
Now I learn from a Tweet…
The diocese has just learned that Bishop Robert C. Morlino’s funeral will be broadcast on EWTN on Tuesday, December 4th, at 11:00 Central. Pass it on!

It seems that others consider Bp. Morlino’s death and the choice of his successor – especially in the present context of crisis – to be a watershed.
I DVR The World Over, and stayed up late last night to watch it. Raymond Arroyo took quite a bit of time to assemble a moving tribute to the “Extraordinary Ordinary “. It is worth watching. Frankly, many Catholics, laity and clergy, can learn by example from the “Extraordinary Ordinary “. Bishop Morlino will definitely be missed.
Intersession of Mother Angelica.
Just a thought.
(Been reading the Arroyo biography of her. Many similarities to saints. Check it out if you can)
I can’t make it to Madison today and will be teaching class during the time of his funeral Mass, so I offered Holy Mass for the happy repose of his soul at the parish altar this morning instead.
