Her avatar now has become rather more sinister, replete with tell-tale flames licking up in the black background. I played again M3GAN several times yesterday with time control and won earlier in the day. Then something happened. Her ELO went from 1250 to 3000, where it is as I write. It looks like Mittens is in the cross-hairs.

Is “Ecce Nicolaus Adsum” a quote from Our Lord and Our Lady’s visit to St. Nicholas in prison (“Nicolaus” being in the vocative)?

Or perhaps it is a reference to the time he was literally imprisoned for… my preferred version of the “synodal way.” It might not be, but I often find that these otherwise useful secular publications lose, at minimum, a third of their IQ when they try to talk about Ecclesiastical History.
As an aside, Giordano Bruno was a bad philosopher, and a worse scientist. Incoherent astrological gibberish. He brings nothing but disrepute on real, intelligent renaissance thinkers ( of whom I am quite fond).

Agree with you about Bruno, but he’s been a secular saint for some time. The Black Legend and all that. The really creepy statue in the Campo dei Fiori sums it all up.
Apologies, CavH: you’d seen the link. But yes, they could well have commented on the “privileged Altar” and the significance of that, but no. Oh well…
The crucifix is magnificent, very like those I’ve seen in Spain and Portugal where the Lord’s wounds, even to the cut knees, are fully emphasised.
