Fighting the Obama Administration’s program of pain and dependence

I like this.  A lot.

From WND:

Thousands of Americans have taken the government shutdown into their own hands, literally, as they stormed into the nation’s capital, tearing down barricades blocking off the World War II Memorial on the National Mall Sunday morning.

“Barrycades are down,” tweeted Sherry Lucas, a reference to President Barack Obama’s childhood nickname of Barry.

Many of the barricades were then hand-carried by the protesters and dumped in front of the White House.

And then there is this from CP Politics:

Experts: ‘Chicago-Style Thuggery’ Used to Oppress Religious Liberties in Military

WASHINGTON – Legal and military experts at the social conservative Values Voter Summit, sponsored by the Family Research Council, proclaimed that religious freedom faces dire threats in today’s U.S. military, and called on Christians to denounce the Obama administration and the alleged secularization of American society.

“This is Chicago-style thuggery at its worst, manifesting itself through the military,” Ken Klukowski, director for FRC’s Center for Religious Liberty, told The Christian Post in an interview on Saturday. “It’s almost as if President Obama’s Organizing for America people are advising the Obama-Hagel Pentagon on how you bully and intimidate Christians and people of faith to stay quiet when you’re trampling on their religious liberty rights,” Klukowski declared.

I’m sensing a pattern.

Are you ready for the coming storm?

    Two things:

    a) Those vets and what they did remind me of what make America great

    b) Has it not occurred to people that we ought to play Chicago style too? As Jim Malone said to Ness (in the Untouchables) “He brings a knife to a fight you bring a gun, he puts one of your guys in hospital you put one of his (figuratively speaking in this case) in the morgue”, we need to fight back and fight back hard, forget about niceties, If we gotta break some (figurative bones) then that’s a price I’m willing to pay.

Ready Father Z! I have my rosary in hand!

  3. mamajen says:

Did you see the photo of the vet with no legs carrying a barrycade on his Segway? That, to me, says it all. I was so frustrated to hear tales of people obeying these ridiculous directives, like a bus tour group from Buffalo that “couldn’t stop” at a Mount Rushmore parking area to take pictures because of the cones. Thankfully, my faith in Americans has been restored since then.

Well, mostly. A guy I know on Facebook, gay, “married” to a man, and apparently bothered by these displays of civil disobedience, posted a lengthy Bible quote about submission to authority. Sadly, I don’t think he meant it in an ironic sense.

  4. Facta Non Verba says:

The press has chosen to cover this as Tea Party rally, rather than a veterans’ rally. CNN chose to focus on: (i) one man waving the Confederate flag outside of the White House, implying he was a racist; and (ii) one speaker who told President Obama to “put down his Koran.” The coverage was disappointing. Compare to CNN’s coverage of Occupy Wallstreet.

  5. Cantor says:

I vaguely remember a document somewhere that suggested:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State…

Times like this remind us why.

  6. Peggy R says:

Todd Starnes came out today and said the agenda is to separate the military (morally and socially, etc) from the American people and their culture, making it easier to turn on the people.

  7. lsclerkin says:

    Yes, Father. I am.

  8. lsclerkin says:

    Peggy, yes.
    America elected Stalin. twice.
    Pray the Rosary.

I loved that story, mostly the photos, as well! The pictures of people taking those “Barrycades” and throwing them on the White House sidewalk, priceless. Of course he ought to be paying attention and acknowledge the unrest he has caused with his petulant pettiness. But he won’t. He is a child, in a man’s job, unfortunately for us, the most powerful man in the not so free world. Voted in not once, but twice. Shame on us. Or somebody. I sure didn’t do it.
He is provoking. Instead of taking away the barriers, he had them put up stronger ones with wire. He is thin-skinned and he will ensure he has the last word. So with him, if you “win”, you will soon “lose”. He is immature and in my opinion, wildly defensive.
I would call out those federal workers who are the ones who yes, must follow orders, but, they must ask themselves if this is the job they signed on for, harassing the American people, insulting our veterans, who have paid the price for Americans time and time again. These employees, surely need their jobs, but at what cost? How much do you need to be paid to put up barriers that block Americans, veterans, from our memorial sites?? Whatever it is, it would not be worth it to me. I could not do that! This makes me think of German citizens, who goose-stepped along with Hitler. Shame on you people who put up barriers. Shame on anyone who goes along with this petty strategy of hurting Americans to make the point that you won the election, which has been stated lately ad nauseum. I am afraid people could be really hurt with the building frustration, but he will do nothing to ease it. This seems to be his intent. I pray that Jesus helps us.

  10. netokor says:

Yes, shame on those who voted for this narcissistic, evil incompetent who wants to bankrupt the nation in all aspects. he is poison, a destroyer of the unborn, of the family, of the economy, of the armed forces. he is a terrible punishment allowed by God, because we have become a culture of death and perversion.

  11. Venerator Sti Lot says:

Kathleen10 days, “Voted in not once, but twice.” The formalities of elections are curious. I have seen, for example, statistics that in 2008 around 57% of those old enough to do so voted in the Presidential election. And that some 53% of them voted for Mr. Obama. If true, that would mean (in terms of ‘voter numbers’), some 30% of the (possible) voting population ‘elected’ him (which is, of course, not taking account of the Electoral system, nor of the possible number of fraudulent votes).

One wonders how many members of the armed and ‘public’ services have resolved not to be ‘squeezed out’ and so have effectively gone ‘undercover’, making no ‘waves’ but being anything but uncritical in fact. Of course, the better anyone was at such a thing, the less it would or could be public knowledge.

  12. Lin says:

@Kathleen10………..There are frightening similarities to what took place in Germany! The unrest in this country, coupled with a potential economic crisis (real or not), could lead to a declaration of martial law. It appears that the administration had prepared months in advance to shut down open air monuments. Much prayer and fasting is needed! God bless us all!

  13. inexcels says:

Wow, those guys are gutsy. Good job to them.

  14. StJude says:

As ready as I will ever be.

  15. EXCHIEF says:

Given the fact that, with rare exception, our elected representatives in the House and Senate are nothing but self serving, gutless parasites themselves we the people are being forced to take matters into our own hands. And, we’d better do it now before both the military and civilian law enforcement are so compromised by political correctness and the intentional removal of true leaders by the regime that the task of revolution will be impossible. Refusal to be subject to the agenda of an evil would be dictator requires prayer and the willingness to be arrested. Mass resistance in every capital in every state as well as DC is what is now needed. Only when our elected representatives see that those who put them in office are no longer supportive will they, perhaps, muster up the courage to challenge the Marxist.

  16. HeatherPA says:

2017 will be a very interesting year, I think, just based on my personal observations.
It will be the 100 anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s warning.
President Obama turns 666 months old on February 4, 2017, less than three weeks after he is to vacate the White House for the newly elected president (if we still have open elections).
    Just sayin’.

  17. Joseph-Mary says:

The United States administration hates its people. It hates true freedom and enterprise. It is corrupt; it spreads immorality to the world and legalizes and protects it in its country. The thing is that so often it seems that no matter who is sent to congress, the results are not changing. The assault on the Constitution is ongoing. So much evil…

  18. Suzanne Carl says:

At this time, we can still receive news of these events if we are looking for them. Most Americans do not look and are unaware that anything happened. I asked my 50 students yesterday if they had heard about it. only two had. I imagine those results are representative of the country at large. I used the story as an object lesson in biased sources, not just how events are covered, but what is covered. The media has had 40 years to learn that not covering pro-life protests means that they did not happen. These events will only receive broader coverage when frustration builds to violence. God help us all.

  19. LarryW2LJ says:

    @ netokor

Amen! I think we need the bishops to declare a National Day of Fasting and Prayer much like Pope Francis did with Syria. A very open and public sign of Catholics standing together, in reparation for the offenses committed by our nation, which is no longer God fearing and moral.

Won’t hold my breath – but will continue to fast and pray on my own.

  20. TimG says:

    @ EXCHIEF…..WELL SAID!

  21. frahobbit says:

Maybe that’s what he wants, after frustrating people to the point of starting mob scenes, to be able to call on martial law. Especially if the country goes bankrupt from being unable to pay it’s debts, and people can’t buy food for their families?

  22. Random Friar says:

@HeatherPA: It’s best not to read 666 into things. Some wags pointed out how Ronald Wilson Reagan’s names each had six letters, etc.

For my money, the Mark of the Beast on the forehead is a NY Yankees cap. But I’m a terrible Bible scholar.

  23. HeatherPA says:

I appreciate the advice and I am not prone to sleuthing really on Revelation, I oh figured that out when I had read a writing of an old priest (forgive me but I cannot recall for the life of me who it was) who stated his theory that the number 666 referred to the number of months the Antichrist would be old when he was revealed as such. I remember thinking how different that hypothesis was from anything I had ever heard before, so I set about spending a half hour figuring out the “reveal” time for people who still qualified. Hahaha. Not really productive, but fun none the less. God bless you for your charity!

  24. HeatherPA says:

    Postnote:
Clinton’s (both), Reid, Pelosi, and Putin have obviously all passed the hourglass. Sadly there aren’t too many left to have fun with this one.
