I gladly prayed for him. We need the leadership of a surefooted and eloquent Holy Father.
I like indulgences, and seek them out.
(Btw, I hope the Holy Father doesn’t think indulgences are too vieux jeu, too passé, too, – oh, what’s the word I’m looking for? – too…traditional?)

I hope our Holy Father has an excellent birthday!
I am praying for him also. I think his message of Gospel joy is greatly needed in our times. And I like how he, like previous Popes in their own ways, seems geared toward the needs of the youth who are facing very difficult times ahead with terrible economic times combined with all they are having to inherit from the previous generations. It can be very discouraging and worse without access to grace in the sacraments. May our Holy Father’s words and prayers bring them close to the Lord and help them to realize the joy of the Gospel in all circumstances.
May God help, guide and protect our Holy Father Francis.
May he help him to proclaim the eternal truths of our faith clearly and with greater forcefulness and my He make him ever more sensitive and open to the traditional worship practices of our Church.
