A while ago, the best English language Vaticanista these days, Edward Pentin wrote about the rampant homosexual network in the seminary in the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, the See of one of Francis’ key players, Oscar Card. Rodriguez Maradiaga. HERE

What can be said? Either there will be some massive, unforeseen upheaval within the ranks of the priesthood, episcopate, and curia, or we get to witness the abomination of desolation in our days.
Its getting to the point where revocation of privileges, such as entry to Italy or areas of the Vatican may be required. Its like a bad BBC drama.
I wonder if the most logical reason for this may be that keeping the homosexual Tegucigalpa seminarians is Maradiaga’s most effective way by far of keeping them quiet. If he ejects them from seminary they will doubtless have all sorts of things to say.
Not every person who experiences SSA is excluded from seminary and ordination. The Vatican statement says
It’s a prudential decision for each bishop as to whether a particular seminarian’s homosexual tendencies are “deep seated” Different bishops may come to different conlusions.
If +Maradiaga has said he has reviewed the situation and has decided that no seminarians need to leave his seminary (I don’t know if he has said this yet) then that could be a correct decision if the standard had already been properly applied and there are no seminarians there with “deep-seated” (in his opinion) homosexual tendencies.
On the other hand, if there are other dioceses in which the standard had not already been properly applied, those bishops may Have needed to send away “deep-seated” people after reviewing their earlier decisions.
Too early to make a judgment about this.

Probably the lack of consistency is related to the degree of enlightenment (or not) on the part of bishops regarding this subject, and all the elements of this “pillar” of formation.
