My friend Jeffrey Tucker – who just a few says ago found me a version of the Apostle’s Creed in Latin with chant notation for a project I was working on – has posted at Chant Cafe an entry about having obtained the books for singing the Passion in the Extraordinary Form. He has digitized them and made them available in PDF format.
Very cool.
They are in black and white only. Perhaps he will be moved, in his goodness, to give us color versions as well.

I am very fortunate to have rescued a full three-volume set from a now-closed church. Perhaps this will also recall to readers the Bugninian alteration of the separate Gospel including tone and incense from the Passion, as masterfully described in Fr. Carusi, IBP’s study published by Rorate Caeli early last year.
Father, if you’re interested, you can find a square-note edition of a medieval Apostles’ Creed melody adapted to the traditional English text here. There is also a discussion of the original source of the melody, with a recording of someone singing the translation, here.
Now we just need to train a few thousand deacons to sing them.
