All Souls – Manhattan – Solemn TLM tonight

There will be a Solemn Mass with the 1962 Missale Romanum at Holy Innocents in Manhattan (near 37th and Broadway) for All Souls, Tuesday – election day – 2 November at 6 PM.  The choir will sing Morales’ Missa pro defunctis.

The undersigned will be celebrant.

Yesterday evening we had a solemn TLM for All Saints.  The undersigned swapped roles last night and was the deacon instead of the celebrant.  I don’t often get to be the deacon.  Good practice!  The Mass was well attended and the experience was very edifying.

For those in or near Minneapolis/St Paul : At St. Agnes in St. Paul. The Twin Cities Catholic Chorale, together with professional soloists and orchestra, will sing Mozart’s Requiem. Mass begins at 7:30pm.

For those in the Lancaster County Pa. area: There will be a Requiem High Mass in Latin (of course) at St. Anthony of Padua Church 501 East Orange St. Lancaster at 7:00pm. So go vote and then come to Holy Mass. God Bless.

For those around Berwyn, Illinois, (near Chicago), there will be a Requiem High Mass at St. Odilo Church, National Shrine of the Poor Souls. The Sinfonietta Bel Canto, Harp, Organ and St.Odilo Festival Choir will sing Faure’s Requiem.

    This oughta be great!
