  1. Limbo says:

Fr. Z, are you ever going to post something original? Everything I look at here is gleaned from somewhere else. …but then again, the reports on pot plants and what you had for dinner are original.

  2. Tyler says:

I see your “Say the Black/Do the Red” made it under the Instructions

and Limbo. He posts like 30 things a day, you expect them to all be original?

I personally like it. Its like my one stop shop for all the things happening of at least tangential importance to the Catholic Church

  3. joy says:

    Limbo,
I think you mean ‘potted’ plants.

Don’t think of it as unoriginal. It’s more hermeneutic of continuity…

  4. yep says:

It’s not even funny because the NO was never organic and even if done traditionally its still lacking.

  5. Matt says:

Ha Ha. I was thinking the same thing as yep.

I will take a nice bowl of 100% traditional. Complete with all the original goodness. Nothing bleached out and then re-fortified with artifical ingrediants. 100% of the doctors of the church agree that Missa Solemnis does a body (and soul) good.

Remember new coke? Didn’t think so. Hopefully we can say the same thing about the “innovations” sometime soon.

  6. RichR says:

Having been to TLM’s, Latin-ad-orientem-gregorian-chant-altar-boy-only NOM’s, and mainstream NOM’s, I’ll take a daily dose of TLM’s, too. The continuity is self-evident in the TLM.

    Just me.

  7. TomB says:

Maybe 3.0 will have 100% less Bugnini. Then 3.1 will be all Latin, etc. until it gets back to the TLM.

  8. Dan says:

The liturgical practices that the Papa Ben’s “cereal box” has mocked are Vatican-approved and employed daily throughout the Church.

For decades, a great many conservatives attacked Traditional Catholics for their (the Traditionalists) having criticized the liturgical novelties that the Papa Ben’s “cereal box” also, in its way, has criticized. Conservatives have finally caught on.

Traditional Catholics who criticized “Bugnini’s” liturgical novelties and were labeled “schismatic” and “Pope haters” by a great many conservatives have been vindicated…by conservatives.

For those conservatives who have caught on…well, better late than never. Welcome about the “schismatic” Traditionalists train that many of you once to attempted to derail.

Many conservatives spent decades promoting and justifying the liturgical revolution and attacking Traditional Catholics who knew that the liturgical “reforms” were devastating the Church.

Well, peace to all. At least most Catholics, I believe, are now aware that the past 40 or so years has been a liturgical nightmare and the restoration of Tradition is our best hope to end the Latin Church’s crisis of faith.

  9. Jane says:

This is very funny. I am sure that the pope would enjoy it.

  10. orthodoxy says:

This is not only funny but is a perfect description of what the church needs to return to…love for God alone and not a place for entertainment.

  11. Jordanes says:

Never read any issues of the Adoremus Bulletin over the years, have you?
