1 July: Day for the Sanctification of Priests

Today is, in the post-Conciliar calendar, the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

It is also the Day for the Sanctification of Priests.

Please, friends and enemies alike, pray for priests.  I ask a prayer for myself.

    I am making a Holy Hour this evening at my parish, with Benediction and Holy Mass. I’m offering it for priests and will certainly include you, Father. Feast of the Sacred Heart and First Friday – a double whammy for reparations.

    Our parish just wrapped up a 60 Hours Spiritual Bouquet for Pope Benedict and holy vocations. Although not a capacity crowd, we few, we happy few prayed for our Holy Father and for the sanctification of all priests and for holy vocations.

    Jesus meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.
