A great new biography of St. Francis of Assisi by Fr. Augustine Thompson, OP, who posts here now and then. Learn about the saint after whom Pope Francis purposely chose his name.
Help Monks in Wyoming, Fr. Z, and get great coffee too!

Fr. Z’s KINDLE Wish List

Grab and Go Food Kit… 3 servings per day for 1 adult for 4 weeks or 4 adults for 1 week

Is that the residence of Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable?
Ha ha. Anyone have a spare ten million?
My wife and I would love to move to the city. The only affordable places we’ve found in our desired locales, though, are one bedroom fixer-uppers. I suggested that we can bunk all of our children, current and future, in one of the closets. Stack them.
Space shmace.
My wife isn’t buying the argument. So here in Queens we’ll stay…for the time being. :)
So you want a street sign? A wrought iron fence? It’s not clear what your wish may be. ;)
If I had that much money, I would buy a small farm in the West Riding of Yorkshire with my own water supply. De gustibus non disputandum est.
WDTPRS World Headquarters!
I dunno Father, endless photos of pigeons on the feeder feed… [yeech]
They may even have a bylaw against bird feeders…
@Supertradmum: agreed! No amount of money could convince me to move into a major urban center anywhere on this planet, least of all NYC.
If I had that much money, I would attempt to convince the wife to move to Edinburgh and rent a modest 2 bedroom furnished flat, assuming the UK government would recognize her ~ 1/2 Scots ancestry as “a close tie to the UK.” We have the balance of the legal alien immigration requirements in hand—all we lack is that “close tie.” Second choice might be a furnished 2 bedroom flat in York (ideally inside the wall).
Pax et bonum,
Keith Töpfer
You could call it “WDTPRS: Northern Command.” Kind of like how Rush Limbaugh broadcasts from NYC and Florida which is the “EIB: Southern Command.”
It is a rather nice brownstone, however, but reminds me of too many movies filmed in New York.
I agree with LaudemGloriae sentiments.

I this respect we have similar tastes, Father. Would love one of those, on a nice sidestreet, somewhere in the teens/twenties or sixtees/seventees. Nice! Just a few million…
Removed my comment? Sorry, I wasn’t trying to say anything bad. I know you’re kidding.
I second Supertradmom, although I would add a couple of horses and a small chapel so I could go and see Jesus whenever I wanted to
Father, if I hit the PowerBall or the Mega this week, you got it!
Is that what’s called a “brownstone”? I never really knew what that meant.
It looks nicely proportioned.
Really, Father Z? Would you really want to move to NYC?
Where would the birdies feed? And what would happen to your chapel on the Sabine Farm?
Like NoraLee9, if I could hit the Powerball lottery (245 million bucks) I’d buy it for you!
I would suggest you do as Mother Teresa would’ve done: secrete a Miraculous Medal somewhere on the property and leave the rest to the Mother of God.
